In order to keep exam costs affordable for those without coverage, no insurance is accepted for eye exams or contact lens fittings. Some insurance companies may reimburse the patient for exam costs for out of network doctors. Please contact your insurance company about their out of network policies.
ABOUT
Dr. Julie H. Smith graduated from UAB School of Optometry in 1997. She has enjoyed living in Sylacauga for the past 21 years. She and her husband, Allen Sanders, spend their spare time remodeling buildings in Sylacauga’s historic downtown. They have started several businesses in the downtown with the goal of helping others to become small business owners. Dr. Smith is active in the community that she has grown to love. She is currently the president of the Planning Commission and a member of the Beautification Council. Dr. Smith previously worked at the Sylacauga WalMart Vision Center from 1998 to 2004 and then moved into private practice until 2010.
